Fulbright, Marcus | 2008 Chrysalis School Alumni

Class of: 2008
College: Belmont University
Degree: Music Business/ Marketing
Occupation: Ticketing Director

After high school, I moved to Nashville TN to attend Belmont University’s Top 25 Business school. My major will prepare me for a career in the entertainment industry, specifically the music industry.

Last school year I interned with AEG Live, the 2nd largest concert promotion company in the world behind LiveNation. There I helped to promote concerts and tours for artists like Sugarland, Usher, 30 Seconds to Mars, Interpol, One Republic, Dashboard Confessional, and many others.

After finishing with AEG in May of 2011, I moved to Rockhouse Partners, a digital marketing firm in the entertainment industry.
While at Rockhouse this summer, I served as ticket director for the Next BIG Nashville: SoundLand festival (www.nbnsoundland.com), which featured artists like Yelawolf, Foster the People, Cults, BIG K.R.I.T, Ghostland Observatory and over 100 others. My responsibilities included running and managing all online and physical ticket sales as well as compiling daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

On the side I still play music, mostly bass guitar now. I don’t have a steady band, but people call me from time to time to lay down tracks in the studio or fill in for a live gig here and there. Work and school keep me busy, but I still find time to let my hair down.
